Why We Like It

This hotel is a good, mid-budget option for stylish guests who want to live right in the thick of things. With two restaurants on-location, late arrivals are not a problem for even the most exhausted guests. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, and have black-out curtains for night owls to catch some good zs.

Fodor's Expert Review

Behind the modern facade of this small-chain hotel in Santiago in the heavily-visited Lastarria neighborhood is a sleek hotel with all the modern conveniences. Efficient, with clean lines and good service, this centrally-located hotel delivers reliable service in a midsize downtown hotel with artistic touches.

Room

Rooms are textured and interesting, with echoes of the modern facade seen throughout. Stylish beds are backed by large paintings copies from fragments of the collection of the nearby Bellas Artes hotel. Grey and white are the predominant colors, picked up in the blackout curtains, carpet and bed linens.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are standard and functional.

Lobby

Stark and grey with high ceilings but with nearby places to sit and regroup after a long day, with fruit and water out for guests. Midcentury lines predominate.

Spa

There is a massage room in the gym, and you can coordinate massage services with the gym.

You Should Know The massage room is tiny, with barely enough room for the massage table, and you can hear the gym goings on from inside.

Gym

Small but complete, with cardio equipment, resistance bands, kettlebells, free weights, etc.

Dining

There are two dining options onsite, Punto Ocho, on the eighth floor, with a retro mosaic tiled floor and views out over the neighborhood. A hearty business lunch does brisk business here, with good salads, soups and mains. On the first floor there is a tapas bar serving many different Spanish tapas, occasionally with Chilean touches. A hip, youngish crowd favors the tapas bar.

Drinking

The first-floor tapas bar has a good drinks selection though the waitstaff will steer you towards their red or white sangrias. Other drinks are available as well, or if you prefer your drink with a view, head upstairs to Punto Ocho instead, where Pisco sour and a good wine list are good options, particularly at sunset.

Getting Around

This hotel is close to both the green and red metro lines, which are great options for getting around during metro hours. Earlier or later than that though, most guests will get around by taxi, Uber or Cabify.
