For a glimpse of early-20th-century high society, look no further than this hotel, where 20 exquisite rooms are decorated with classic wood furnishings and period murals. Owner and tango legend Héctor Villalba painstakingly transformed this 100-year-old mansion into both a hotel and a tango academy. A stunning chandelier, sweeping staircase, and original artwork lend more authenticity. Tango lessons take place daily in the gorgeous dance hall, and every evening the staff accompanies dancers to milongas, all-night tango parties that take place all over town.
