Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Skiers and snowboarders love Jackson Hole, which borders the southern end of Grand Teton National Park and offers some of the best terrain in North America. There are thousands of routes up and down the mountain, and despite Jackson's reputation not all of them are hellishly steep (although 90 percent of the terrain is intermediate or expert). There are also two terrain parks and extensive facilities. In the summer, a mountain-bike park takes advantage of the legendary terrain. Facilities: 116 trails; 2,500 acres; 4,139-foot vertical drop; 16 lifts. 3395 Cody La., Jackson, Wyoming, 83025. 307/733–2292; 888/333–7766 ; www.jacksonhole.com.
