5 Best Shopping in North Central Washington, Washington

Pybus Public Market

Fodor's choice

Located in a renovated warehouse along the Columbia River, this market offers specialty food products, fresh produce from nearby farms, artisanal cheeses, seafood, coffee, gelato, and charcuterie, as well as a few restaurants and gift shops. It's been likened to an eastern Washington version of the much larger and older Pike Place Market in Seattle.

Schocolat

Tucked in the back of the high-end home-decor and gourmet-kitchen store Ganz Klasse!, which offers wooden cutting boards, table linens, and porcelain pieces, Schocolate sells fine handcrafted chocolates in flavors like brandied pear, burnt-caramel–salted almond ganache, and Earl Grey.

Sheri's Sweet Shoppe

Tucked into this Wild West–style clapboard building is a haven of treats: myriad candy bins, boxes of chocolate bars, and—behind the glass case—all kinds of house-made chocolates and fudge. Choose from more than a dozen flavors of homemade ice cream in the summer. Shady tables on the patio provide respite for grown-ups, and there are saddle-topped stools for the kids. Hot dogs, curly fries, and milk shakes are also available.
