All boats leave the Norfolk waterfront, the Victory Rover from beside Nauticus, and the others from beside Waterside.

Walking Tours

Greenhow Lumber House. Hour-long guided walking tours of the historic area depart from the Greenhow Lumber House daily from 9 to 5. Reservations should be made on the day of the tour at the Lumber House and can be made only by those with tickets to Colonial Williamsburg. For walking tours, be sure to park at the visitor center, as cars are not permitted on Duke of Gloucester Street. Carriage and wagon rides are available daily, weather permitting. Lanthorn Tours. Lanthorn Tours (available in the summer) takes you on an evening walking tour of trade shops where jewelry and other products are made in 18th-century style. "The Original Ghosts of Williamsburg" Candlelight Tour. "The Original Ghosts of Williamsburg" Candlelight Tour is based on the book of the same name by L. B. Taylor Jr. The tour is offered every evening at 8 (there's also an 8:45 tour June–August). The 1¼-hour, lantern-lighted guided tour through historic Williamsburg costs $12, and interpreters well versed in Williamsburg and Colonial history are available to lead groups on tours of the historic area.
