This relaxed eatery is just the place to unwind after a day on the water. A covered deck houses a bar overlooking the Chincoteague Channel, a favorite feeding site for myriad wildfowl. Featuring oyster, crab, and fish sandwiches along with fish-and-chips, this café is a pleasant change from fancy restaurants or fast-food franchises. Be sure to try the rich New England or Manhattan clam chowder, both prepared with local mollusks. A sister property adjacent to the Shucking

House Café, Landmark Crabhouse (757/336–3745) is a bit more upscale, with the same fresh, locally harvested seafood dishes and peaceful waterfront views.
