Grappa Italian Restaurant
Grappa Italian Restaurant Review
At the top of Main Street, this restaurant specializes in northern Italian cuisine with impeccable presentation. Heavy floor tiles, bricks, and timbers lend a rustic, warm, farmhouse feel. Tables on the wraparound balcony overlook those on the first floor. The menus, which change seasonally, offer appetizers such as a grapes and gorgonzola salad with roasted walnuts and innovative entrées like horseradish-encrusted salmon.

Before I talk about the restaurant, I feel a need to comment on IathenaI's review, giving one star for everything. This almost caused me not to go to Grappa - and that would have been a major mistake. I don't know what inspired such an obviously malicious review but I can tell you it is wrong wrong wrong.
Grappa is an absolutely wonderful place to have a great meal in a romantic setting. It is an old four story Victorian right at the top of Main St. The place is beautiful, and the staff was very nice and attentive, and the food was wonderful. And, yes, despite what the prior reviewer stated, there are plenty of pasta choices that you can have as either a half portion or a whole portion.
I started with ravioli with a nice meat stuffing - reminded me of Nonna's ravioli in Italy. Then the Osso Bucco arrived with the meat literally falling off the bone, and topping a mild, delicate polenta. The wine list has selections for every budget, and they even have a whole page of "wines under $50".
We enjoyed it so much we forgot to use the $25 certificate our ski rental place gave us...which means we get to go again!
I'm giving ALL FIVES to try to make up for the crazy review previously given. In truth, every aspect of this restaurant is between a 4 and a 5 in any event! -

Absolutely the WORST restaurant I have ever been too. An Italian restaurant with no pasta.
1) Overpriced. $40 entrees with only about 5 to choose from.
2) Poor Customer Service. Had a problem with the wine, they would not budge.
3) Cramped environment. The waiter could not even reach my side of the table.
4) Food quality was atrocious. We ordered 1 of each appetizer, didn't enjoy any of them.
5) Bad idea for your birthday. No birthday cake. With a $300 bill, you'd expect cake.
STAY AWAY.
