Black Hills National Forest

Black Hills National Forest Review

Hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain-biking, and horseback-riding trails crisscross this million-acre forest on the state's western edge. Entry points include Custer, Deadwood, Hill City, Hot Springs, Lead, Rapid City, Spearfish, and Sturgis. The visitor center is west of Rapid City at Pactola Reservoir.
