Coolidge General Store

All of the lodges in Custer State Park have small stores, but the park's main retail outlet is the larger Coolidge General Store. Named for President Calvin Coolidge because it was built in 1927 ahead of his vacation in the park, this structure is packed with a wide selection of locally themed apparel and books, plus personal-care products, basic groceries, beverages, quick food items, and supplies for camping and fishing.

Earth Goods Natural Foods

A local staple since 1996, this store sells a wide variety of natural foods, vitamins, supplements, herbs, gluten-free foods, organic produce, and personal-care products. Honey, from local producers and around the globe, is a specialty.

Good Karma Jewelry

The name does not encompass the breadth of items sold in this fashionable, downtown Custer shop. There's jewelry—much of it turquoise and Western-themed. There's also home decor, a boutique clothing section, and a rock shop selling gems, fossils, and crystals. You can even grab a hot or cold drink at a coffee bar inside the shop.

Morris Grand Gallery

Fine art from Native Americans and other Western-themed artists is beautifully displayed and sold in one of the grandest old structures in Hot Springs, the 1911 Morris Grand Theater, built by a Russian-Jewish immigrant jeweler. The art includes paintings, pottery, and sculpture, while decorative rocks, minerals, and jewelry are also available.
