Sided in metal, this busy restaurant on Alberta Street is known for its hearty breakfasts—namely, its biscuits and gravy, shredded-potato cakes, egg and tofu scrambles, and breakfast burritos; in fact, it's so well-known that there can be a long wait for a table for breakfast on weekends. The lunch and dinner menus have creative choices as well, like a creamy artichoke sandwich and a mac and cheese of the day. There's a kid's menu containing simple scrambles, sandwiches,
and noodles (in the $2–$4 range). Dogs are allowed on the comfortable outdoor patio; there's even a dog menu with a variety of free-range meat dishes (in the $6–$7 range). With a large stone fireplace and chimney, the covered, comfortable outdoor area doubles as a beer garden on warm spring and summer evenings, and the adjacent garden rounds off the property with a peaceful sitting area.
