Maxwell Siding Railroad Display

Maxwell Siding Railroad Display Review

The railroad came to Hermiston in 1883, and some of the original tracks are still here at the outdoor exhibit of railroad cars and memorabilia. There is a 1910 rotary snowplow, a 1913 diner from the Oregon Short Line, a 1912 passenger car, a 1949 steam-powered snowplow (the last of its kind used in the United States), and two cabooses; if you like, you can arrange to get married in one of them. The cluttered little history display is only open Saturdays or by appointment, but you can get a pretty good look through the fence along the paved park trail.
