Fodor's Expert Review Carolinas Aviation Museum

Greater Charlotte

Editor's Note: This property is currently undergoing renovations.

The star here is the "Miracle on the Hudson" plane—the famed Airbus A320-214 that was safely landed in the Hudson River in January 2009 by the pilot Capt. Chesley B. Sullenberger after both engines failed. A working DC-3, F-14D Super TomCat, and about a dozen other aircraft are also on display. If you're visiting in peak summer, note that there's no air-conditioning here.
