Golf

Island's End Golf & Country Club. This semiprivate course, with mostly flat terrain, isn't known as the most challenging course in the area, but the expertly maintained greens and sweeping vistas make it worth the price of admission. The 16th hole sits on a bluff overlooking Long Island Sound, and offers arguably the best view of any golf course on Long Island. The restaurant is well liked among locals. 5025 Rte. 25, Greenport, New York, 11944. 631/477–0777; www.islandsendgolf.com. 18 holes: weekdays $25–$49, weekends $55–$85 (fees depend on season, and include cart); 9 holes: weekdays $25, weekends $43 (includes cart); twilight rates $29–$35.
