Don't be fooled into thinking this Davis Square spot is simply an upscale pizzeria. A central wood-burning oven here churns out over a dozen varieties of excellent tomato or "white" bubble-crusted pies (try the "white" gorgonzola, bacon, fig, and caramelized onion pizza), while the kitchen crafts scrumptious starters and mains, like local string bean and pistachio pesto salad, silken tagliatelle cradling tender hunks of braised rabbit in a delicate wine sauce, and succulent swordfish with soft, sweet peppers. The central brick and glass-walled dining room (with sidewalk seating during fair weather) fills nightly. A smaller back room is perfect for young couples and the silver-hair set seeking a bit more privacy or peace and quiet. No matter where you sit, you're in for a terrific meal.
