A sophisticated but unpretentious enclave of nouveau Italian, Bricco has carved out quite a following. And no wonder: the hand-made pastas alone are argument for a reservation. Simple but well-balanced main courses such as roast chicken marinated in seven spices and a brimming brodetto (fish stew) with half a lobster and a pile of seafood may linger in your memory. You're likely to want to linger in the warm room, too, gazing through the floor-to-ceiling windows while sipping a glass of Sangiovese from the all-Italian wine list.

North End Italian spot with upscale pretensions. Certainly not bad in food and service, but there are better such places in the area.
