Chef Barbara Lynch has remade the classic meat market as a polished wine bar-cum-hangout, and it's just the kind of high-quality, low-pretense spot every neighborhood could use. Stop in for a glass of wine, chat with any of the friendly but cosmopolitan clientele, and grab a casual, quick snack of homemade prosciutto and salami, daily pasta and sandwich specials, or a plate of artisanal cheeses. Reservations are accepted for parties of six or more.

A meat heavy spot in the South End. Food's not bad but very expensive for what you get, and there's not much seating. There are better options in the general area.
