Fodor's Review

If you're looking for an authentic place to enjoy your Maine lobster dinner, this is it. This large restaurant has rustic wooden picnic tables outside, an enclosed patio, and two dining rooms with a gift shop in between. Hundreds of live lobsters are in swimming tanks out back, so feel free to pick your own. There's a full bar, and the wine list includes some local vintages. The classic "shore dinner deluxe" consists of lobster stew or fish chowder, steamed clams or mussels,

fried clams, and a 1½-pound lobster, along with side dishes and dessert. Because this is such a big place, you won't have to wait long, even if it's busy. Right on U.S. 1, next to a small beach, the restaurant has beautiful views.
