Grand Victorian Bed & Breakfast Review

A real escape from the New Orleans hoopla, the Grand Victorian more than lives up to its lofty name, with lavishly appointed, romantic rooms that evoke old Louisiana through period pieces and distinctive private baths. The Greenwood Suite includes a hot tub, stained-glass windows, and a private balcony that extends across the front of the house, overlooking historic St. Charles Avenue. An oak-shaded common balcony on the second floor stands atop a traditional New Orleans garden. The continental breakfast is served in either the dining room or on the balcony.

    Grand Victorian Bed & Breakfast Review

    I stayed at this B & B for 2 nights in June 2009. The room was not well furnished. Only one small side chair in dire need of upholstery and new springs was provided as seating, other than the bed. I needed binoculars to see the very small television. View of a side wall. Breakfast was cold cereal. Not a good value at all. I cannot understand why Fodor's rated the Grand Victorian as the best B&B value in the area. You should do better.
