International House Review

One of the best values for a boutique experience in the city, this stylish and contemporary hotel pairs creature comforts with a prime location just two blocks from the French Quarter. The lobby aims to wow, with 23-foot-high ceilings, ornate pilasters, and marble floors. Fine linens and fabrics enhance the smallish guest rooms, which are attractively decorated in a contemporary New Orleans style. All rooms feature complimentary Wi-Fi, iHome docking stations, and black-and-white photographs of jazz greats; bathrooms, which have either glass-enclosed showers or oversize bathtubs, are sleek and contemporary. The excellent cocktail bar, Loa, is cool and shadowy.
