Fodor's Review

On the northwest corner of Astor and Burton places in the swanky Gold Coast, you'll find this Georgian building. It was commissioned in 1891 by Chicago Tribune chief Joseph Medill and built by Stanford White. You can't go inside because it's been converted into condos—Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins is said to own one of the units.
