Boystown
Boystown Review
Just beyond Wrigleyville lies this section of Lakeview; it's been a major "gayborhood" since the 1970s, which also makes it one of the country's first. Although the area has become much more mixed in recent years, distinctive rainbow pylons still delineate Boystown—most of its gay-oriented shops, bars, and restaurants are concentrated on and around Halsted. In June the street becomes a sea of people, when Chicago's gay pride parade floats down the block.
