The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas Review

Farther up the beach from its sister property, the Westin Maui, these villas are available for vacation ownership and hotel accommodations; the abundant resort amenities and pools are notable. Large studio, one-, and two-bedroom units are designed to provide the comforts of home (kitchens, washer and dryer, LCD flat-screen TV, DVD player, and Internet access) and then some (Westin Heavenly beds, Westin Heavenly Bath with separate shower and whirlpool tub). Spa Helani, a Heavenly Spa by Westin, incorporates Hawaiian elements in massages and treatments. There is also a fitness center (open 24 hours), tennis courts, two general stores, and a fine-dining restaurant on the property. Even though the villas are oceanfront, you may never see the beach because of the acres of water features—a meandering lagoon, cascading waterfalls, a huge heated pool with a 90-foot waterslide, a revitalizing pool, whirlpool spas, and a separate children's pool complete with a pirate ship.

Great hotel, might not be best for families!

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and love it! The close proximity to whalers village and the great beach in front is a definite plus! The pool is awesome too though it can stand to be heated a few degrees warmer. The rooms are nice especially if you get one with a view! We stayed here in February for the first time with our 22 month old. It was great but the pool is definitely not the kid friendliest because of the cold factor. It would be nice if there was a 1 or 2 ft deep spot where the kids could play. Either way we will be back because the westin is amazing!

    Would do it again!

Had a great time at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas! My wife and I went in October and the weather was fantastic! The complex was very comfortable. Our room was superb with a nice oceanview. The concierge and staff gave us lots of options on things to do amd places to eat. All of their suggestions that we took were excellent. They reccomended "The Road to Hanna" and several other side trips. WE just had a ball! Would tell our friemds to definitely stay at this resort on their next trip to Maui!

The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas Review

Just stayed there last week for our 25th anniversary! Ocean View means partial (wall on one side, other resort and construction site on the other side). Island View means view to the Courtyard (not even to the pool). Ocean Front (real Ocean View) is for Time Share only. Rooms are very very dirty (at check-in , during the stay). Materials used in building the rooms are not luxurious. Service provided is sub-standard. Pools are not heated. Finally, the grounds are not well kept.
