Fodor's Review

The menu is a little neurotic—in a good way—featuring Mediterranean and Indian dishes, but the food is fresh and tasty. This budget-friendly café offers flavors and preparations not easily obtainable at other Island eateries, with a nice selection of sweet and savory crepes, Indian wraps, and salads. Now, you can have a cocktail, wine, and beer, too. All in all, you get delicious, good-value food, as well as excellent people watching from the umbrella-shaded tables

Best food on the island

Lot of fancy places in West Maui, Mama's Fish House, and a few local places in Kahului-Wailuku get publicity on how wonderful their food is. But in my opinion, Cafe des Amis has THE best food, regardless of price range. The ingredients fresh, presentation simple, flavors wholesome and exotic, and price relatively inexpensive. Trust me on this one.

Best crepes in the world! (and my favorite restaurant!)

Every few months I fly from CA to Maui just to eat here. Well, I usually get in a little windsurfing too, but Cafe Des Amis is my favorite restaurant in the world. Their crepes are better than those in France!
