Some menu items at Mema's reveal a Chinese flair, but the emphasis is on Thai dishes. A host of curries—red, green, yellow, house, and Mema's, which is made with coconut milk and Kaffir-lime leaves—run from mild to mouth-searing. The pad thai is served with a choice of tofu, chicken, pork, shrimp, or seafood combo. The shrimp summer rolls taste fresh, and the traditional green-papaya salad adds a cool touch for the palate. Though it's a bit shabby and service can be slow, the food is hearty and good. Beware: it tends be hot inside.
