Nestled between Wailua Bay and the Wailua River, this low-key, low-rise resort is an easy, convenient place to stay. Families will enjoy being within walking distance of Lydgate Beach Park. It's also close to shops and low-cost restaurants. Rooms are in two wings and have beach, mountain, or ocean views. The resort also offers one-bedroom beach cottages with kitchenettes. Pros: Excellent cultural program, walk to beach and park, convenient locale. Cons: Exiting hotel parking lot onto highway can be difficult, restaurant meals are average.
