Why We Like It

This hotel pretty much covers it all when it comes to being leisure, pet, family and business-friendly. Kids will love the huge outdoor pool deck and the fact that they can bring their pups along for the fun, with special amenities just for them. The location is in the heart of Buckhead close to shopping and restaurants, while access to the center of Atlanta is easy to reach via public transportation. Finally, business travelers can take advantage of the more than 35,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Right in the heart of Buckhead, the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead is elegant but not stuffy, with some of the largest guest rooms in all of Atlanta. The amenities are steeped in relaxation, including a large outdoor pool deck and waterfall, Japanese Zen Garden and 24-hour StayFit. The Onyx Bar is one of the most popular watering holes for both hotel guests and locals, and Cassis restaurant specializes in regional southern favorites. Those traveling for business will appreciate the 35,000-square-feet of flexible meeting space, business center and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Tip Pups 50 pounds are less are welcomed to the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead with hypoallergenic beds, pet bowls, welcome treats and an in-room dining doggie menu. Let the hotel know at least three days in advance if you plan to bring Fido.

Room

439 guest rooms, including 21 suites, feature views of Stone Mountain, the signature Hyatt Grand Beds, complimentary Wi-Fi and large work areas in the 400 square foot space. Suites start at 650 square feet and top out at 2500. For those with allergy sensitivities, PURE hypoallergenic rooms undergo an additional six-step cleaning process to reduce airborne particles and potential irritants.

Bathroom

Bathrooms have oversized decorated mirrors, marble countertops and marble shower/tub combos. There are also handy built in shelves along the wall for storing toiletries without taking up countertop space.

Lobby

The lobby has a gorgeous seating area with massive curved windows that stretch nearly to the ceiling. Velvet covered chairs and a couch surround a large flat screen tv to catch up on the latest news or to watch the game. The elegant decor is anchored by stately gray and white striped columns and tiered crystal chandeliers.

You Should Know Parking is steep at $32 for self-parking and $42 for indoor valet parking with in/out privileges. If you're not going far, take advantage of the complimentary car service to destinations within a two-mile radius of the hotel.

Pool

The seasonal, heated outdoor pool is large enough for swimming laps, and is surrounded by the tranquil Japanese Zen Garden. The colorful, striped lounge chairs are padded and comfortable, and guests are more than welcome to sip a mojito or enjoy snacks from the Pool Bar.

Gym

The StayFit center has a variety of cardio equipment including ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes, weight machines, free weights, stability balls and slam balls. There are also sauna and steam room facilities.

Dining

Cassis is the breakfast and lunch restaurant for modern American classics like house cured Pork Belly Benedict and cinnamon-infused french toast stuffed with Georgia peach butter. There's also a daily continental and full American buffet breakfast. Onyx lounge and restaurant just off the lobby serves creative salads and sandwiches, as well as small plates like smoked gouda hushpuppies and pan-seared scallops.

Drinking

Onyx Coffee Bar serves Starbucks coffee and gourmet espresso drinks alongside freshly baked pastries. Onyx Lounge offers a wide variety of cocktails, wine, whiskey and craft beer.

“The Buc” is a community shuttle service that offers free and frequent connections between area restaurants, offices, shopping destinations and MARTA rail in Buckhead (the MARTA station is a 5-minute walk). Downtown and Midtown Atlanta attractions are available via MARTA, or you can catch a ride via a ride-sharing app but rides will take at least 30 minutes.

Try Sushi Bar Yu-Ka for creative sushi rolls and fresh sashimi (5-minute walk). Enjoy down home southern breakfast dishes any time of the day at Flying Biscuit Cafe, like eggs with biscuits and gravy, or Southern Style Biscuit Benedict served with pimento cheese and bacon (3-minute walk).
