Fodor's Expert Review Tokyo Dining and Teppan Edo

Above the Mitsukoshi department store are sister restaurants Teppan Edo, a teppanyaki steak house where chefs do performance cooking at 20 grills, and Tokyo Dining, for sushi and pre-plated meals. Teppan Edo standouts include filet mignon and Tori chicken breast (it also has a small sushi selection and a kids' menu with Teppan-style chicken or shrimp with rice and veggies), whereas the more stylish Tokyo Dining offers tempura dishes; assorted sushi rolls; and grilled fish, chicken, or steak served with teriyaki or other sauces—plus "sukiyaki beef rice." Both restaurants have something great to watch: Teppan Edo has the performing chefs; Tokyo Dining has a great view of the Japan pavilion.
