Why We Like It

The lodging is equidistant from Disney and Universal, offers spacious accommodations, and some privacy, for a family, at a reasonable price. Having a kitchen means you can save a few dollars on meals, and have more to spend on fun.

Fodor's Expert Review

A large, marble-columned lobby welcomes guests to this all-suites lodging less than a mile from Disney's door, and the amenities continue into the suites, most with a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and bedroom with multiple TVs. The day begins with a free hot breakfast buffet (there is no on-site restaurant other times of day), while weekday late afternoons bring free cocktails. Disney Springs is a mile away, and there are restaurants and shops even closer, a bracing walk in winter but a grind in the summer heat. Free shuttles run to Disney and outlet shops. On-site amenities include BBQ facilities and a coin-operated laundry.

You Should Know Despite its location and amenities, including a free breakfast and daily happy hour, here is no hotel or resort fee.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

Reservations are required a day in advance to use the complimentary scheduled shuttle to Disney World. The venue also provides a shuttle to the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. A car or ride share service would be a more efficient use of your limited vacation time, particularly for grocery shopping at the beginning of your stay.

Restaurants

Disney Springs (10-minute drive) is the closest neighborhood with a wide choice of eateries including Planet Hollywood, the huge globe shaped restaurant that recently joined forces with TV celebrity Guy Fieri to offer a menu heavy with burgers, fries and beer; Morimoto’s Asia, an Asian Fusion eatery owned by, and often visited by, famed Japanese chef, Morimoto; and for those who fancy a Mexican experience, James Beard Foundation Award winning Chef Rick Bayless’ has opened Frontera Cocina. Further afield is House of Blues, where barbecue, blues and beer reign.

Bars

Disney Springs is your best bet, as there are more watering holes there than you could visit in a week. The rooftop bar at Morimoto's Asia offers high-end sake; Raglan Road's Irish pub pours a mean Guinness; wine connoisseurs can head to Wine Bar George, where a master sommelier dispenses a wide range of domestic and imported wines; and House of Blues is the spot for beer.
