Appalachian Trail. The Appalachian Trail's longest river walk, off Route 341, is this nearly 8-mile hike from Kent to Cornwall Bridge along the Housatonic River. Kent, Connecticut.

Kent Falls State Park. Heading north from Kent toward Cornwall, you'll pass the entrance to 295-acre Kent Falls State Park, where you can hike a short way to one of the most impressive waterfalls in the state and picnic in the green meadows at the base of the falls.
