Honga's Lotus Petal

Updated 10/01/2013

Fodor's Review

A local favorite, this chic eatery serves Pan-Asian fare in an elegant dining room. The sushi bar is the best in town, with fish flown in from Hawaii four times a week. Many dishes are vegetarian (and gluten-free), but meat-eaters can find free-range chicken and organic beef dishes as well. Blackened tofu is the signature dish, and the pot stickers are addictive. Finish with the homemade ice cream; flavors change nightly. Honga's specialty drinks, such as the potent and

imaginative mojitos and martinis, keep them coming to the patio bar.

Restaurant is spectacular

Although we waited longer than expected for our entree, the meal was well worth the wait. Definitely try the pot sticker and seaweed salad. The atmosphere in the new space they are in is simply gorgeous. It's one of the nicest spaces I've seen in the middle of the mountains.

Fun, laid back place, worth the food and atmosphere

If you want to go somewhere after a hike or a good ski and are hungry from some good pan-Asian cuisine in the middle of the mountains then this is the place to go. The sushi is very good, especially considering you are in the middle of the mountains. The next day we ate a seaweed salad and other appetizers, which were simply divine. Then had a green curry and blackened tempeh which were both fantastic, and then topped the evening up with a fried banana,

ice cream dessert which was simply fantastic.

Greatly over-rated

Menu is far too ambitious for the kitchens capabilities, ranging from sushi to vindaloo, and everything asian in between. Very crowded and noisy, tables nearly touching, wait staff hurried and not particularly friendly.
