When to Go

Like the rest of the Front Range, Boulder has beautiful weather year-round. The city definitely feels livelier when school is in session, especially on big football weekends. Summer weekends often bring big crowds of tourists (including day-trippers from Denver).

Boulder Creek Festival. Held each Memorial Day weekend since 1987, the Boulder Creek Festival converts a stretch along Boulder Creek into a giant party, complete with carnival rides, live music, hundreds of vendors, food, and multiple beer gardens.
