Fodor's Review

This museum, at what many consider to be the birthplace of supersonic flight, chronicles the rich history of flight testing. Numerous airplanes are on exhibit, from the first F-16B to the giant B-52D bomber. The 3½-hour walking and driving tour is open to the public once a month, and requires a reservation. To take the tour, you have to provide basic information for a background check at least a week in advance (a month for non-U.S. residents). On the base's website, click Tours for details.
