1906 Lodge at Coronado Beach Review

Smaller but no less luxurious than the sprawling beach resorts of Coronado, this lodge welcomes couples for romantic retreats two blocks from the ocean. The name alludes to the main building's history: it was built as a boardinghouse in 1906. A $4 million renovation completed in 2009 transformed the property beautifully. Most suites feature Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, and porches; all rooms have flat-screen TVs and bathrobes. The complimentary breakfast includes fruit, cereal, yogurt, pastries, and a vegetarian hot entrée. At 5 pm, meet fellow guests during a complimentary wine and snacks reception.
