Tucked away in a forest and overlooking a lake, this strikingly contemporary spa takes advantage of its location with air beds that float among lily pads, and tiers of sundecks with gorgeous views. In addition to steam rooms, saunas, and baths, Balnea also has 30 body treatments: you can bliss out with the misra herbs and green-tea wrap, a chocolate and grape-seed massage, or yoga by the lake. Full- and half-day spa packages are available. During the summer, Balnea plays host to Summer of Chefs, a gourmet cooking competition that takes places over 10 Sundays and features 10 of Québec's best chefs who take over the kitchen and create their own menu inspired by ingredients available at the nature reserve.
