About half of the rooms at this Georgian-style brick mansion have knockout views of the fields of historic Fort George or the marina—ask for one when making a reservation. Though it looks like a historic mansion, it was built in 1990. The property has a hushed regal air to it, and even the Internet room is disguised to look like a library, with ceiling-high bookshelves and leather Chesterfield sofas. Rooms are elegant, with a neo-Georgian blue-and-brown decor, low-pile carpeting, and clean lines; many have fireplaces and jetted tubs. Suites have four-poster beds. As at all the Vintage Hotel properties, service is taken seriously and staff goes above and beyond to please. The pool is saltwater, and the Tiara Restaurant has inventive cuisine and marina views, though breakfast is not included.
