Brentwood Bay Resort & Spa Review

Every room has a private ocean-view patio or balcony at this adult-oriented boutique resort in a tiny seaside village. Handmade furniture, handsome fireplaces, king beds topped with crisp Italian linens, and original local art decorate each of the clean-lined, earth-toned rooms. Slate-tiled bathrooms have jetted tubs and multihead showers, and shuttered windows bring ocean views to the tub. Handy to Butchart Gardens (a five-minute hop on the resort's water taxi) and to local wineries, Brentwood Bay is known for the wine-based treatments at its lavish spa. The ocean-view restaurant and casual marine pub serve locally raised organic fare. Eco-cruises, kayak tours, and a dive center are among the many distractions.

Brentwood Bay Lodge & Spa Review

Beautiful rooms overlooking the bay, and fun to arrive at Butchart Gardens by boat. Not a lot to do in that immediate area as it is primarily residential, but we really enjoyed the quiet, and it was a short 20 minute drive into Victoria.

Seagrill really not worth the money and the word was out, as it was empty during our entire stay. Pub was ok, although food quality was really mixed. Crab cakes made us sick and potatoes seemed to be from the freezer, but everything else we ate was reasonably good at a fair price.
