El Centro Crafts

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

An old house that once belonged to Jesús Langarica, PV's first mayor, is the setting for this shop selling woven goods from Guatemala and southern Mexico. Items include tablecloths, napkins, place mats, and rebozos (stoles) made of rayon, cotton, and sometimes silk. The structure's stone, cement, and brick floors make interesting backdrops for painted gourds from Michoacán, carved gourds from the Costa Chica (northern Oaxaca coast), and Talavera pottery.
