The second-floor Golden Cactus Gallery, run by painter Chris MacClure and his partner Marilyn Hurst, has been showcasing local artists' work (paintings, lithographs, and many colorful gifts) since 1997. Bill Clinton is among those with MacClure's pieces in their collections.

rather surprising that - in a town with so many stores selling Mexican blankets, pottery and other artesanal objects there is only one real fine art gallery. Golden Cactus is that gallery. They feature a stellar lineup of internationally famous Canadian, Mexican and American artists. They seem to have fine original art for every budget - oils, watercolors, acrylics, lithographs, posters and giclees. For some reason to do with the commission structure, works by these artists are cheaper at this gallery than they are in Quebec, New York, Houston or Miami.they welcome browsers and will ship anywhere in the world.
