The Ungson family had been in Cabo for more than four decades before turning their home across from Plaza San Lucas into a spacious, sedate inn. It's by far the classiest and friendliest place in the neighborhood, landscaped with meandering paths leading to the pool, gazebo, and terrace. It is indeed, a casa bella, or beautiful house, as they say in Spanish. Room furnishings are handcrafted and thoughtfully arranged. The open showers in the huge tiled bathrooms are works of art—some even have little gardens. The property feels totally secluded, though it's in the middle of town.
