Lanquin

This pretty village, founded in the 16th century, is on the doorstep of some impressive natural wonders, namely the caverns of Lanquín and the limpid pools of Semuc Champey. There’s not much to see in town, other than the small, 400-year-old church, but it’s the place to stay if you want to arrive at the nearby sites early in the morning.
