Cabinas Marielos Review
The rooms at this centrally situated, locally owned hotel are among the best of the budget category in Tamarindo. Two wings, painted white and decorated with floral motifs in the style of the artisans of Sarchí, are well back from the busy main road, on grounds with colorful gardens, coconut palms, and other trees. The beach and surf break are a short walk away. Rooms are quite basic, some with cold-water showers, but most have air-conditioning. Four rooms now have hot-water showers. Guests sometimes share meals in the well-equipped common kitchen. The atmosphere is surprisingly serene, and the friendly staff can arrange turtle-watching, horseback riding, and other tours.
