Fodor's Review

From the gigantic Guanacaste tree that shades its parking lot to the local paintings, hacienda-style benches, and indigenous stone statues that decorate its lobby and walkways, this motel just south of town has more character than other hotels in town. Rooms are comfortable, if a little institutional, but the grounds are verdant and the rectangular pool is quite large, with lots of shaded areas. A playground and lots of play space make it a good option for families. Two

of the rooms by the pool have private whirlpool tubs, and there are handicapped-access rooms and bathrooms. Rooms facing the highway can be a little noisy; numbers 17 and up are quieter. The restaurant serves complimentary buffet breakfasts on a pleasant terrace, but you're best off heading into town for dinner.
