Fodor's Expert Review Aydınlı Cave House

Aydınlı Sok. 12, Göreme, Nevsehir, 50180, Turkey

Mustafa Demirci converted his centuries-old family home into a picturesque guesthouse and has since taken over the place next door, too: both offer simple accommodations with wood and wrought-iron furniture, antique items, and travertine-lined bathrooms. The mainly cave rooms tend to be comfortable in size, and original architectural details such as wine presses and grain-storage areas have been preserved—each room has a story. There's a cozy courtyard and a delightful rooftop terrace where breakfast is served.
