Golf Club Verbier. High in the mountains at 5,250 feet, with fabulous views, the Esserts golf course challenges the experienced player. Less advanced golfers enjoy the pitch-and-putt Les Moulins course inside the resort. Both courses contain hazards, including mountain streams and changes in elevation, that increase the difficulty. Most of the Esserts course takes you down the mountain, whereas Les Moulins is uphill the entire time. The Verbier Golf Club is open for play only May through November since it is transformed into a ski hill during the winter. 5 chemin des Esserts, Verbier, Valais, 1936. 027/7715314; www.verbiergolfclub.ch.
