Next to some overgrown, junglelike parks and private enclaves, this hideaway in upper Barcelona has the advantage of being far enough from the Rambla to provide a sense of rest, relaxation, and refuge. Park Putxet offers above-average comforts and particularly elegant bathrooms at reasonable prices. Walking distance from Gràcia and just a few minutes by train or taxi from the center of town, this is a good choice if you like to stroll and would prefer to sleep away from the city's roar. Pros: next to a leafy park and not far from Parc Güell, well connected with the center of town by subway. Cons: well removed from the city's main attractions, rooms and public spaces neither large nor especially interestingly designed.
