Costa da Caparica

Costa da Caparica is a 20-km (12-mile) stretch of beach on the northwestern coast of the Setúbal Peninsula. White sand and a laid-back holiday vibe make it Lisbon’s answer to the Algarve, and it’s often packed with locals on summer weekends. The coastal strip centers on the lively resort of Caparica itself, at the north end of the beach, less than an hour from the capital.
