Chic&Basic Review

Clean simple design, with white walls, little in the way of decorative trimmings, and accents of bright bursts of color, dominate here—at least in the public areas and the nicest of the rooms. Others are decked out with more dated wooden furniture and carpeting, though modernization continues (ask for a renovated room). The central canal-facing location is peaceful but near the action, with restaurants, bars, and shops only moments away.
