On the edge of the Vucciria is a restaurant that dates to 1890, one of Palermo's oldest. In winter its namesake dish, tortellini in brodo (in beef broth), is the specialty of the house. There's an extensive antipasto buffet, and you can't go wrong with the fritella di fave, piselli, carciofi, e ricotta (fried fava beans, peas, artichokes, and ricotta). Most days they offer a fixed-price meat menu (€16) and a fish menu (€18). A mix of tourists and locals crowds the three small rooms.
