Fodor's Review:

Valentino remains the epitome of ultraelegant luxury. In the 1960s, Valentino put Rome on the fashion map, knocking Dior and Balenciaga off their elevated Parisian pedestals in the process. Still the darling of the château and luxury yacht haute couture set, Valentino continues to win the hearts of new generations of fashion divas, thanks to his minimalistic exclamation point dresses and fairy-princess evening gowns. His suits are crisp, classy, and comfortable. At his principal Via Condotti store, plush red carpet leads to gilded salons filled with flirty cocktail dresses where off-duty celebs like Halle Berry and Julia Roberts have been known to shop while dreaming of their next Oscar nomination.
