Ariston Review

This hotel claims it is designed around "bio-architectural" principles. Rooms are decorated in simple, minimalist style, and breakfast offers a selection of organic, unprocessed foods. The location is close to the lively Porta Ticinese shops and restaurants and the young people's fashion mecca, Via Torino. Although a longish walk from the nearest subway stop, the Duomo, it is well served by tram.

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Duomo, so it's very convenient. It is clean and comfortable, though a bit "characterless", as Fodor's review states. The free breakfast is ample and includes several very healthy options. Parking (for a fee) is limited and tight, but right in front of the hotel and for someone arriving late at night and exhausted as we were, worth the fee.
